Dr. Bunch offers the following legal consulting services:

1. Advanced FCEs - Assessment of disability and validity of disability and symptom presentations utilizing advanced comprehensive functional capacity evaluations (FCEs).

   Opinions offered as a result of the FCE address:

   1. How physical impairments translate or do not translate into occupational disability.
   2. Ability to return to a specific job or classifications of jobs with or without accommodations.
   3. Physical demand level classification as defined by USDOL.
   4. The validity of effort and symptom presentation
   5. The presence of symptom and disability magnification behaviors
   6. Identification of nonorganic illness behavior
   7. The need for additional rehabilitation
2. Detailed ergonomic assessments (office and field)
3. Assessment of whether or not injuries are ergonomic or non-ergonomic in nature.
4. Assessment of material handling injuries – lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling.
5. Application of the NIOSH lift equation
6. Clinical biomechanical analysis of clients to correlate clinical signs to mechanism of injury events such as rear end vehicular collisions (low or high velocity), trips and falls, material handling, etc.
7. Development of questions for depositions or court proceedings related to FCEs , physical therapy, use of NIOSH Lift equation, ergonomics, clinical biomechanics.

Dr. Bunch has been accepted as an expert in state and federal courts in the areas of Physical Therapy, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Ergonomics, Causation of Musculoskeletal Injuries, and Clinical Biomechanics*.

* The science of clinical biomechanics is the application of mechanical principles to the human body. Clinical biomechanics helps explain the causes of musculoskeletal disorders. Disciplines covered include orthopaedic and sports biomechanics, ergonomics, kinetics, clinical science, physical therapeutics and rehabilitation. The American Professional organization that addresses this professional discipline is the American Society of Biomechanics (ASB).
